Thumbs up Admins or WebMaster...Question about the new format...

First, I would like to say Great Job Josh! .........

Now, on to the question. On the "old board" once a thread was read, or looked at, it would show up as a different color once you went back to the main page. This allowed us to do a quick peek and see which posts we had already viewed. With the new format, once i read a post and go back to the main page, the font color is still the same as the ones I havent read????

Is this something that I can change in my Preferences? Or is this something that is controlled by the admins?? Its tough to remember which threads had been previously viewed??? Can anyone help me out with this one???

Thanks for a great board!!!

Ok, so i'm not an admin or webmaster, but I've used this format for a while... first of all click user cp and go to your preferences. Make sure it is set that default it does not subscribe you to a thread automatically (e-mail alerts).

You should see yellow icons next to ones with recent posts. After a little bit they will change back to the old color, whenever you sign in the yellow colored icon will indicate new/unread posts. It will still show as new even if *you* were that poster. It will reset the whole section for you at once, not just that one thread. That's for the main board page. Arrows are for each thread and will be ones with new posts since the last time you signed in.
