You don't have to spell out where it's made.... It was a simple, "Is this made in the U.S?" Which means a simple yes or no on your part. Some people are making an effort to stimulate our economy, not China's.....

as we do. There are parts for these trucks made in the US, Mexico, Argentina, China, Taiwan, Thailand, India, etc. The economics of doing certain parts and projects dictate that not everything can be done to satisfy everyone. If we have a tool made in Detroit and we end up with an $800.00 bumper we'll never sell enough to break even and that doesn't necessarily mean that you're getting a better part. We now have a bumper made outside the US, warrantied, and I think we'll offer it at $299.99.

Re: SNEAK PEEK for forum members

let's answer a few questions- I'm not smart enough for multi-quote so I'll try to catch up.

The bumper does use the factory brackets and that's what makes it so easy to hang and adjust. If your factory bumper is on right this bumper will drop right in place.

I would describe the plating as better than average. They're using 2 layers of nickel and 35mu of chrome. These will be warrantied against corrosion and if you care enough to hang a custom bumper than you probably care enough to keep a bumper cleaned and polished and will never have an issue.

The rear has been a bit of a debate internally and that's why it's lagging the front. As of TODAY.....it's will have an integral plate mount (not a bolt in), no bolts going through it and it should be narrowed a bit to snug the quarters rather than have an inch and a half gap like the factory. The biggest souce of contention is whether to "Outline" the plate with the plate frame or just have a recess and provision for a plate light.

For a group buy: I would be willing to do the group buy for say.....free shipping in the continental US IF we don't discuss it until they're on the way (packaging is being finalized) and we agree to a "Number" by which the GB makes sense. Giving up $40-$45 dollars a bumper on a brand new part is not ideal....but I'd do it because I love the forums and want you guys to have this stuff first.

Re: SNEAK PEEK for forum members

I'd be interested in one in plain steel if available... no chromes, homes.

For rear bumper, how about making it a little shorter heightwise so it doesn't hang 2" below the bottom of the bed?

Re: SNEAK PEEK for forum members

I'm in for one or two

Suggestion on the rear...since it seems you're split there on how to do it...post up pictures of both ways here and do a poll to gauge interest. Will help you manufacture the bumper that will hopefully sell the best

Re: SNEAK PEEK for forum members

Simply stated:

ME WANT BUMPER!!!! I am in, this is in line with my plans for the truck.

I would support any thinking in line with a buy on these. Let us know and Yes, get some info on the rear bumpers, also.

Can ANYONE really define, what is the "Good OLE USA" is anymore? The discussion about Made in the USE is interesting, but we ALL would be surprised by what is NOT made here and we think that it is. If one truly believes that any repop parts are made here, then a surprise may be coming.
