Intro

Been lurking for a while so I figured it's time for an intro. A lot of great info and inspiration on the site.

Currently working on a 65 9 foot stepper. plans are: fleetside bed, dually conversion, 76 3/4 ton front suspension (pancaked), and full air ride. Tossing around the idea of a cummins 12 valve or a durramax. Truck is being built to pull a trailer for hot rods and God knows what else haha.

Welcome to the site!!
I like your plans for the truck. Once some of the other guys get wind of your plans, you'll have a lot of guys here on the site very interested.

A slammed dually with a diesel..........oh yeah!!

Great idea. If you want to throw Duramax ideas around I can get you in contact with a friend who is dropping a Duramax int a K10 Blazer. He bought a wrecked 06 quad cab from insurance auction for his start.

Sweet! Love those long steppers! I would trade my 3/4 ton fleet side for one of those any day!

Now that you mention it! I never would have noticed their was snow in those pictures! YEAH. June and ya'all have snow!?! I second that question. He probably took those pictures in the brink of January. If he took those in June I would probably fall off my chair.

Re: Intro

Hahaha I wondered how long it would take for someone to bring that up. No we don't have snow. Pictures were taken when we picked it up this winter.

Re: Intro

What will you do to fill in the space between the cab and fleetside box? Never seen a 9ft fleetside.

Re: Intro

I may just convert it to an 8 foot box. However, I did pick up 2 fleetside boxes for the swap. So really I could use the 2 to make a 9 foot fleetside and still have plenty leftover for a short box. Not sure on what I'll do just yet. once I have the front suspension done I'll be putting the body back on and I should be able to make a decision in short order.
