Blazerman,
That black flatbed with the lizard green military crane on it is just my style....can you share any more info? Also that roll back looks pretty sweet as well. Wish I was in a position to pick that up.

Re: Tow Truck/Rollback/Hauler Pics

Interesting the Orange broken arrow Napco and the Black one Are Both Dayton rears with budd fronts, I would not have thought they would have Mixed and matched. I think I am going to start looking for a nice Heavy front axle to go under mine... I been an all wheel drive guy for too long to not at least try on my current build. anyone know where I can get a 6.17 Ratio 5 ton front axle ?

Re: Tow Truck/Rollback/Hauler Pics

I'll ad my 2 cents. My 68 C-30 "wedge". Definatly home built, haven't used it much, needs an engine. Might get one this week. The PO painted the wheels red but they're chome underneath. I'm ready to start workin it. Would have come in handy today, went and picked up a 68 SWB for another member.

Re: Tow Truck/Rollback/Hauler Pics

Hey Brad, you realize your truck is a single wheel C/20 that someone put a C/30 rear and springs under when they stretched the frame and built that body, right? A truck from the factory with dual rear wheel option also got the spacers and Budds on the front.

Yep, no DRW option on mine.

That picture of the drag haulers is one of my favorites.

Re: Tow Truck/Rollback/Hauler Pics

Just to add a little extra info, generally speaking, it is also possible for someone to take a C-30 and put C-20 Front Hubs on it.

Re: Tow Truck/Rollback/Hauler Pics

That Jenkins truck would be great find today. What a peice of history. On a side note, last spring I sold my, gulp, 69 F-350 DRW to a guy in New Jersey that is restoring a another F-350 wedge that was pretty well known on the east coast, Guess it hauled a funny car then later a fuel dragster. Real sharp truck even for a FORD. At least it was the right vintage.

Makes my wonder what happen to all these Race car haulers. They must be rotting away somewhere.

That big wrecker is cool. I drove a semi like that a long time ago, it had the V 12 with a 5 and 4 transmission.
