Removing cab with front clip?

OK, so I've got a 2003 Silverado ext cab. I will be removing the body and will be using the chassis and drive train on my COE project. I have a 2 post lift I will be installing in a couple of weeks. Now, this is in a 8' shop (for now) so I am limited on how high I can lift the cab. What I was wondering is it easier to remove the front clip then the cab or remove them both at the same time. I think I will have enough room to pull the chassis from under the body but I may have to remove the wheels. I'm sure someone on here has done this so I'm just looking for some pointers here.
Thanks,
Rob
