70 SWB 4x4 numbers?

Got into a yard today that had a lot of neat items. (I will post pics tomorrow of my "finds") anyhow, there is a 1970 chevy short, wide 4x4. I think it was originally a 350/auto truck. It is rough but wondering if anyone knows production figures on this one. I think the strike in 70 kept numbers low.

Re: 70 SWB 4x4 numbers?

All years are low on SWB K/10s. I don't have such number handy, but I don't think the strike made the numbers lower than '67 or maybe the other two years between

KS10734 Fleetside 2,554
KS10704 Step-Side 1,629

Yeah... that's pretty nothing in terms of % of total trucks sold...

Re: 70 SWB 4x4 numbers?

I don't think there are any V8 numbers, for some reason

Re: 70 SWB 4x4 numbers?

The owner is looking for a title, which is important in MN. Hopefully I will have some time next week to update this. Thanks for your thoughts....

Re: 70 SWB 4x4 numbers?

I missed the V8 part. No, I've only ever seen total production based on the list I attached. I've never seen anything broken down further...

Re: 70 SWB 4x4 numbers?

Well, its mine now. Looks like it was a 307/3speed truck. (found the glove box door.)

Did you get the title? Nice find. All kinds of treasures still up there.

no title, but a bill of sale from a dealer and the truck has been in the yard over 25 years which is supposed to help. I will find out soon.

Engine and trans are MIA. I did find a 3 speed trans in the bed and a 4 bbl intake which I assume is from a different engine. Still some goodies frozen in the bed I need to get through.
