Old blue. 83 4x4

Hello everyone. I just wanted to share and document the work I've been doing on my old truck. I bought it for $600 a few months ago (see first pic) I have done a little to it: trans rebuild, repaint rally rims, put new tires on it, started painting the frame, and a lot of small things. Anyway here's some pictures, I'll try to keep posting if anyone is interested. I'm 25 with very little money or experience but I'm trying.

Looks like a good starting point and squares are a great truck to learn on. Welcome.

Got a couple more pics yesterday after I put the rebuilt trans back in (by myself in the rain) this is the progress on the frame and the Rally's that I painted.

Been awhile since I posted but I’ve done a little bit to the truck. Had to rebuild an engine for it and painted the front clip white.

Nice work! It looks pretty solid. You stole it at $600.

Re: Old blue. 83 4x4

I know it’s been awhile, my life is at full throttle all the time. I just started back working on the truck after it broke its driveshaft, transmission, and transfer case. She sat Up for 6 months. I just got it all replaced and drivable. That’s what happens when they are this far gone. She now has a 700r4 and brand new driveshaft and rear axle yolk. Same rebuilt 305. Still working on the body, just did the interior this past weekend. Still not ready to give up on her even though she fights me.

That's not a truck to give up on, she's a keeper. Looks good. Me and a few of my buddies have rigs that we will fix and keep driving regardless of what breaks. It's a good place to be.
