72 C20 Lowering??

I have a 72' C20 a couple things I want to do with it are to lower it, swap in a V8, put in a wood bed, and of course fix all the body damage.

I just want to bounce a few ideas off everyone to see there input and what they think??

as far as the lowering, I'd like to do a 2 1/2" spindle drop in the front and 4" coil spring drop in the rear. only thing is that I can't seem to find a 3/4 ton disc brake spindle. I see allot of 3/4 on to 1/2 ton conventions, and tons of 1/2 ton spindles. but can't seem to find any 3/4 ton?? I saw a couple people online wanting to sell there used 3/4 ton drop spindles, but I'm unsure about it??

from what I've herd from some people that the only difference between 1/2 and 3/4 is the size of the ball joint socket... still unsure?? I can't be the only person that wants to lower there 3/4 ton?? ... am I??

I'm going to be swapping in a 350 V8 and know that it's not going to be very hard at all, especially because I have a 68 C10 that has a V8 in it, there for parts...

I really want to keep the 3/4 ton brakes, it has an Eaton HO52 rear axle and want to eventually swap it with a Dana 60 with disc brakes.

it has a Muncie 4 speed standard Transmission that will soon get swapped for a 5 speed. I'm not too concerned with the trans being a 3/4 ton trans, I'm not going to do that much towing, it'll spend most its life as a daily driver.

also saw a few dualies that I thought were cool, I might end up doing that as well, put the step sides on my fleet side. at that point I'd put a beefier transmission in her, maybe a diesel or something... way down the line though... the V8 and Lowering are the first things with the body work.

Re: 72 C20 Lowering??

the White truck is my C20 and the Black is my C10, as you could probably figure out. I also like the blue dualies, especially the crew cab.

if I were to go to that extent, I'd make the back have actual doors, use the doors out of a suburban. probably put a duramax in, 6 speed 1 ton trans...

I've even had a couple thoughts of using the frame from a newer truck with torsion bar front suspension 4wd, to make it easier to lower and still have 4wd...

just thoughts...

what about everyone else??
