Can anyone identify this seat

I just saw this pic online however have no idea who would sell this seat. I'm hoping someone can help and direct me in the right direction.

reupholstered and re-foamed 1989-98 chevy 60/40 truck seat maybe? Seat brackets look to be from those years.

It looks to have an armrest. I don't remember those in the bench seat.

Re: Can anyone identify this seat

I agree. I originally thought it was a oem seat however with the arm rest I thought it might be a custom seat.

With that armrest, I would say 88-92 or 93.

Re: Can anyone identify this seat

That is an 88-98 seat, by the looks of the base. Some of the 88-98 bench seats had arm rests. I have had two over the years that did. Both were red/ marron, oddly enough. Problem is both of them came out of other 88-98 trucks so i cant nail down an exact year.

Re: Can anyone identify this seat

Good information. Looks like a seat I would use to replace the over-stuffed one in my truck. I'm a tall guy and it irritates me that my head will hit the ceiling when sitting in the drivers side. Its too bad also as the seat and door panels were done at the same time and look really good!

It does look a lot like a Tea's seat, but the tracks are definitely 88-94 Chevy truck.

Re: Can anyone identify this seat

i like how that one sits lower in the butt than ours. I've been wanting to keep my bench for the wife on the arm look, but I've actually finally been driving it lately and bench seats are terrible. You dont feel stable on this big cushion our years have.
I must admit i dont have seat belts and my slider is broken so the seat kind of moves back and forth an inch or so. lol might have something to do with it.

i know just what you are talking about, my seats move enough that I put a 2x4 under it to hold it still. until i find a replacement that i like and can afford it will have to do.

Re: Can anyone identify this seat

I've found a place to get the seat. Is there any issue when taking out my oem bench seat (71) and installing the 92 seat like in the picture? Just wondering about instillation?

Re: Can anyone identify this seat

Has anyone installed the 88-98 seat in their truck? Curious about instillation? Do the holes line up with the factory holes?

Re: Can anyone identify this seat

90 was the first year for the seat with the fold down arm rest. The seat foam and material was changed from the tweed type stuff that was on the 88&89 models. That seat stayed the same until the 92 I think had headrest for the first time then the seats were changed again completely for the 95 year model. Back then I was building a bunch of these trucks from wrecks and every year I HAD to study the changes and commit them to memory as I close to had 20 for salvage and had to know the changes so I would not mess up a new [or almost ] new truck. Back then times were different and it was not uncommon for me to get a truck with less than 10thousand miles, sometimes as few as a couple of hundred. I even bought a few damaged in dealer transfer!Window sticker still stuck to the glass!! Jim

Re: Can anyone identify this seat

All info is great. Has anyone installed this seat? Just trying to find out if the seat holes line up or will new seat holes have to be drilled to install the 88-98 seat?
