Beat way to preserve old "Patina"

I Have a 57 Panel with a nice faded Dairy Queen paint job. Professionaly painted with logos and all. How do I shine a little and protect. Nu Finish no good. it is probably lacquer? how do you tell if Lacquer or other?

look for anything on web forums by a guy named "skim". he has an impala that has beautiful patina, he cleaned it with CLR and cleared.

Here you go, found it:

WOW the results of the CLR just blow me away.

Re: Beat way to preserve old "Patina"

I'm doing this right now with the CLR to my truck and when I finish the process I will wet sand and clear the truck...I will tell you it is a slow process...If you look at my farm truck build in my signature you can see what I've done so far to my hood...that's after about 3 hours total on two different days washing the hood with CLR...
