some more progress...not much, but some none the less
Got my gas tank cleaned and painted. Installed some braided stainless brake lines. Cleaned and painted the steering box. Working on the engine right now, its all tore down ready to go get hot tanked and on to the machine shop.

.......before anyone says it.....those e-brake cables are just laying there and are not installed that way.

the sway bar won't be finished until I get the engine in and the body back on. I have to fab up brackets to attach to the frame. I want to wait until I get all the weight back on the frame.

Man, that looks great.
 How did you go about cleaning and painting the frame etc.? Did you sandblast? What kind of paint did you use? Did you primer before paint? etc etc etc. Let me know all the details, cause one of these days I'm going to get to that part of the truck also.Thanks

had the frame sandblasted, $125.00. I didn't go to great pains with the frame since this is going to be a daily driver and I know that I'm not going to detail the underbody every week. I used Rustoleum automotive primer (rattle can), and just topped it with gloss black enamel (rattle can as well). The body will be a different story....it'll be done right.
