Power Steering Fittings

In the process of hooking up AC, fuel injection and PS systems on my ‘70 C10. The March drive setup on my Gen1 SBC has a type 2 power steering pump. I’m using Russell Poweflex hose and fittings. But I’m pretty sure I have the wrong 6an adapter for the high pressure pump output. It’s the correct 16mm X 1.5, but doesn’t seem to seat correctly. No one locally has been much help, so I figured I would reach out to the forum. Apologies if there’s a thread that already covers this

Re: Power Steering Fittings

Couple of things.
Is the Russell hose rated or the pressure side of a power steering pump?
Could it be the pump needs a fitting designed a for flare type fitting?

Re: Power Steering Fittings

Appreciate the response. The hose and ends are for high pressure power steering applications. And the type 2 pump doesn’t have inverted flare, but the steering box does. I have the correct 6an adapters for the box. Waiting to hear back from TuffStuff, as they have this adapter available.
