14 -18 bucket seats in squarebody

Sup folks,

Seat threads beat to death around here but I haven't found any 14-18 bucket seat installs in squares. I tried searching.

I've found a few pics on te internet but no one with install info. I know it requires some modification to the brackets for the hump but anybody got more info?

Not trying to cut the floor hump.

Thx

That cushion in the pic is close to an 03-07 seat.
The controls don't look right.

The T900 and later seats are more squared off.

Hatzie I see your point. I do want to know about the more updated seats, but I wouldn't turn down the info from these either.

I am not sure what you want to do, but I put 2012 seats and a 2020 console in my '86 and I basically just made a one piece bracket that bolted into the O.G. seat holes (cab). the bracket has "stands" that make up the difference in the floor & the hump. I just made sure the seats were centered in the truck & level .

good luck!

The seat controls in your picture looks kinda like 95-99 GM T400 series buckets.

That sounds like the way aftermarket seats like Steel Horse were mounted. It seems to work quite well.

The seats sit really level (low next to floor) so the bracket needed to be a "thin" bracket as to not bring the seats high or up in the cab position. just FYI I used 2"x3/16" flat steel with 2"x2" tubing for stands & bracing where there was room for it.

Rodstored-72

Would you have any pics of your frame? I believe I understand you just make a bracket for the spots where the floor wasn't level and added legs between the floor and thr bracket to make it sturdy.
I'm looking for the later model seats after the seat belt was not built into the seat anymore. Out of those, I think I prefer 14-19.

I thought the factory way they bolted in without removing anything might make them too tall? Do you find them to be comfortable on the hump? Not to high or close to the steering wheel?

Rodstored-72 or just pics of the seats in thr trick to gauge the height better. The original post looks like they removed all the factory slide rails and etc
