Anybody know where I can get a tailgate protector, cap to go on top?
Nobody seems to carry them for 67-72 anymore.

Re: Tailgate protector

LMC has them for about 30 bucks for polished stainless. Page 26 of their catalogue.

Yes please, thanks!

These show not available when you put in info for our trucks. Just a bunch of Dodges & Fords

Nope, that's only for a stepside ... cause I accidentally ordered it not realizing that until it came yesterday.

Refuse to order anything from them; too many stories of pitiful customer service.

Re: Tailgate protector

I got one from GMC Paul's and like it alot. IIRC it was 45$ plus shipping, but it's not on there website anymore. It used to be under Custom Accessories. Email them and see what's up, maybe they moved it? Here's the part number for a fleetside...

Re: Tailgate protector

Sorry about that! I didn't notice it said for step side. I guess they are trying to confuse us when the picture is of a fleetside in the catalogue!

Yes GMC Pauls was my first call. Their supplier no longer has the good, SS made in America, so they don't carry anymore.
