Re: 3/4 husky 350

The outside of mine has been repainted except inside the bed. So I guess the husky decal was removed on the bedside. So evidently there's more than just mine

Re: 3/4 husky 350

This may shed some light . My truck was ordered by University Chevrolet Seattle Washington. This is all I could find about the dealer. Which happens to be the home of the Washington Huskies

Thanks for the added info Mark. I wonder what other states had the extra added promos for their special areas?

Re: 3/4 husky 350

Individual dealer promotion I think. Do we know of other Husky editions from dealerships other than University? It's great to have Mark's truck come along with build sheet and the glovebox sticker to add more bonafide knowledge here. That color sure looks like Ochre to my eyes.

The outside of my truck was repainted Orhre at one point . But the bed, door jambs, interior ,firewall are metallic much different than the outside . Guess when they couldn't find the code the owner just went with the Ochre. Since the Placer was a car color it wouldn't be in the commercial paint book.

Re: 3/4 husky 350

This may have been a dealer promo. But to have on the build sheet pt per direct entry huskie promotion with no paint code listed , GM was aware of it . The two spids are identical too. The first truck then mine

Re: 3/4 husky 350

Yes, this dealership would have put the package together and placed factory orders with options that are the exception on that model but otherwise available elsewhere. Think COPO, same as Yenko Chevy, Royal Pontiac, Nickey Chevrolet, Gov't, and Corvette engine option. Ok, kidding on the last one

I believe you on the color. I was going by the glovebox door. I'm still not picking up on the metallic. I do see the difference in shade in the first picture. I can't tell when not side by side. Cool truck. Are you tempted to repaint Cortez Gold now?

Re: 3/4 husky 350

I really dont want to redo the truck. Although It would like great with the original color and be unusual but I kinda like the scratches and dents on her.

Next time I bring it to Carlisle you can look at the color in person

I’d have to dig, but there was also a Midwest college promo that was a red and black two tone of I recall. Same thing, local dealer only thing. Great history and documentation on yours, very cool info.

The Corvette engine option still has nothing on the ambulance engine option! 😂

Seller is probably in Port Orchard. He tried to sell it earlier this year as a project, said it was rusty. Are any straight-on shots of that sticker in the listing? Maybe ask the seller for a nice close shot? It would be cool to reproduce.
