I just paid $1.42 at Sam's last night for the cheap stuff. Most of the other local stations are about a dime higher. I feel for you folks paying close to $2 !
Good Luck,

Gas prices in Phoenix are bad because of this pipe line that broke some where between Tuscon and Phoenix. Or at least that's what the news is telling us.
This really sucks, Why the HELL is the gas prices going up in the other states???
BTW paid $2.09 for 87 last night

I pay $1.65 or so for 91 octane. 87 octane is around 1.49 or so. As much as i love higher compression, it sucks when you have to fill your tank full of premium

Updated: Discount 2.079, brand name 2.299 - for 87 gas, 20 cents more for 91. Ouch.

Edit: don't expect relief from the prez, he's a Texas oilman! lol

BTW I'm old enough to remember wage & price controls, my wages were frozen but prices continued to creep up. Don't want that or the accompianing inflation again.

Well I managed to pay 0.73$/litre today since this station didn't jump yet. Later tonight the same station was up about 0.81$/litre

Translants to about
2.76$/gallon this afternoon
and after the jump it is about
3.07$/gallon

And this is for Regular.

For the supreme it is about
3.30$-3.40/gallon

President Bush sure as he!! will not do anything about gas prices, remember he is an oil tycoon himself. That is just one of the many reasons I hope that he is not re-elected or hopefully he and all of his cabinet members would be booted out in the meantime. All Bush cares about is big businesses, not the working man. Now I can expect the Secret Service to be coming to see me, lol. Ok, so if the price of crude oil goes up, why is gasoline the only oil product to spike in price? Why doen't motor oil, kerosene or diesel fuel go up? A barrel of crude oil produces all of those things, not just gasoline.

Oh, I almost forgot.
