Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II
Damn that's sweet! A little nu finish polish on there would have it looking like new!

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II
This is mine:
1987 Custom Deluxe R-10. Fuel injected 305, 700R4, 2x4, 2.76 open rear end. My father bought it in 1996. He then killed it twice. I've resurrected it twice. After the second time (Killed the fuel pump after running out of gas), he gave up on the truck. I got it, and have made it my "pride and joy". Alright, not that much pride, but there's a lot of joy! It's mostly a stock truck. The last owner (Pre-1996) did a really poor job of maintaining her. It was 50 different shades of gray, and the grille was half spray-painted. I painted the grill flat black, and left his silver bowtie the way it was. I really like the look of the black grille. |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II
I dunno if I posted it in the part I thread, but here's my 1984 C-20 Custom Deluxe. Original 305 V-8 with an SM465 4-speed. Eventually will have a 350 out of a 1972 C-10.
This is what it looked like a year ago, when my grandpa gifted it to me. Now, it's taken apart, parked behind the shed, waiting for when I have free time to get it cleaned up, running, and back together. You know how it goes, too many hobbies, not enough time and money! Pains me to see it sitting, and not having time to work on it...

84 C20 is a nice project, also cool looking scout back by the garage, had a 63 Scout 4wd with sliding 2 piece side windows, was a cool little truck.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II
Oh yeah you saw that Scout? My dad and I built that. Bought three parts Scouts and made one good one. It's a combination of 1964 and 65. Slant 4, 3 speed, PTO winch on the front. We sold it earlier this year to a couple in Eastern Washington. Had our fun with it, onto the next project...
