4l60e cooler line fittings

What is the best sealing washer to use? Been having trouble not crushing the Nylon type and was wondering if the brass washers would work better?

Re: 4l60e cooler line fittings

Im sure you’ve might have already made your mind up on what set up to use.

Here is my 2¢.

I initially went with the AN fittings and nylon washers. That only lasted me about 2K miles before I sprung a leak.

I went with the original GM fittings at the case that use the C-Clip lock thinks and then use 98-02 Camaro Camaro hardlines. I made a few tweaks to the hardlines, nothing crazy. I ran the hardlines till the reached, let’s say the crank pulley. I cut them off and used Earls hardline to AN compression fittings. From there I ran some fabbed up hoses to my front mounted trans cooler.
