Holley tbi replacement

Sorry if this is a duplicate, my search came up blank. I got a crate motor for my 90 2500 4X4 burb, its the gmpp direct replacement that Summit recomended(4 bolt mains, 200 hp & 300ft/lb tq) also replaced the intake with the edelbrock tbi performer and am running the JBA smog legal headers. Being in California the visual and tail pipe check are a pain.
My question is, the idle seems to stay too low and acceleration is slower than I thought it would be. It was recomended to me to check the values of the tps and iac that came on the Holley unit; but I havn't found what the specific values were supposed to be. I dont expect to be pulling the front wheels off the ground but the rate of acceleration seems to be slow. How long does the computer need to do the learning profile? Any help will be appreciated. Cheers-Nate

Re: Holley tbi replacement

I was always under the impression that the Holley unit was to much for a pretty much stock motor. Have you tried running it w/the stock TBI?

Re: Holley tbi replacement

I havnt tried it yet,I wanted the computer to have a chance to "learn" to see if the low idle and response issues cleared up. Guess I could give it a try just hate to waste $500 on a failed experiment. Cheers-Nate
