Cool LS valve covers

I thought this was a really cool mod for making LS motors retro.
This was the Holly shop truck build posted on the Classic Trucks site.

Re: Cool LS valve covers

They are coil covers, in actuality. The original valve covers are still under them and so are the coils. They do look good on a motor, though. It definitely gives a big block look to the engine.

Re: Cool LS valve covers

My favorite are the ones the guys at Muscle Car Restorations used on this '69 Z/28. They look like and are stock small block valve covers they adapted to fit over and act as coils covers.

http://www.musclecarrestorations.com..._1001.JPG.html

Here's a link to the article. Unfortunately, they don't go in to any detail on what they did to them for it to fit.

Edit: I found a link to the car craft article, but still a little short on details.

Re: Cool LS valve covers

Looks like he kept it injected too, just painted the fuel rails black so they dont stand out and threw a stock air cleaner on top of the throttle body.
