Very good early style GMC tailgate. It looks as if it was taken off when fairly new, but it has not been stored very well. It has lots of wear from being stored and moved around. It was sitting with one end down and has made surface rust on that end. There is NO rust through. 100% strait. It has one small ding on the top, and a few in the trim. You could easily put a Cheyenne band over the GMC letters if you dont want GMC. $300.00 No shipping.

I`d be tempted if you would ship.I`m building a truck with a`67 GMC look.I have a prestine new take-off large letter gate to use.It`s not like it`s an original truck,but the right gate would set it off.i`d still have to ponder it.

I understand.I`m not sure anyway.I bought my GMC gate out of CA and shipped a N.O.S Chevy gate to TX with good results.Both on Greyhound.BUT...CPNE in NH bought a #1 bee-ay-yutiful small letter gate from Pickmup in WA and it got bent.Not dented...bent!I don`t know who the shipper was or how it all turned out.

Actually, it got dented, to the right of the handle right where the upper trim attaches on the white gate shown. Frank boxed this gate (by box I mean wooden frame and plywood and shipped FEDEX. Somewhere between here and there a fedex goon dropped something extremely heavy on it. I tried to make a claim but as per usual fedex claimed improper packaging. So I took it to a body man and many $$$ later it is pristine again. Its no longer a new take off, but I was going to remove trim and paint anyway.

I had another gate shipped via greyhound cross country that was wrapped in cardboard and bubble wrap and it arrived no damage.

I ASSume that as soon as you make the packaging "look" bullet-proof, your package automatically gets handled with less care...human nature?

FYI, I do not blame Frank and do not hold him responsible in any way. He went the extra mile to help me, just crap happens.

Wow, I can believe they dented in and it was in a wooden crate!! Thats just not right. And how could they say improper packaging? Would you need a steel cage for it! Thats crazy. Glad you were able to save it though.

The first responce from FedEx and UPS will be improper packaging. You just have to call FedEx or UPS and ask to speak to someone in claims. Once you do that, and explain to them how it was packed plus what it would take to dammage the contents, they will usualy pay the claim. The person to file the claim is supposed to be the shipper though, not the consignee. At least this is what I have been told by FedEx. WES

I`ve seen how Frank crates tailgates.Someone bought a N.O.S. gate and was so impressed they posted how he packed it.The plywood crate was lined with foam,even.

I have to pass due to lack of stimulous and stay with what I have...darnnit!
