Sold at Colorado Auction for $8000

A lady I work with went back to her hometown to help her parents.
They auctioned off many items including this truck.
Her dad bought it new when she was around 6 years old.

She learned to drive in that truck.
She said it was hard to let it go.

Looks like 1/2 ton rear axle. Nevertheless, cool old truck. Any info of the truck camper in the background in the shed?

You're correct. I missed that.
I don't know anything about anything in those pictures. She emailed them to me.

Neat truck and potentially a super sweet deal at that price. I too noticed the garaged slide-in camper unit in the picture. Been looking for one of those in well preserved condition, and they are not easy to find. Please ask your friend if they still have it.

Dang, I was hoping nobody noticed that.... I agree, very hard to find. And that's a Mitchell. Wonder if it's a Little Sioux or a longer, over the tail one. It looks very clean. Good luck. Let me know if you pass ) (I've been looking for a little sioux for a long time - they're almost all in CO, where Mitchells were mfgr'ed, and I made the horrible mistake of passing on a cherry one. Been lookin ever since, ha).

tired of all the lowered grocery carts many of these trucks are turning into..

She doesn't quite remember what year it is.
Is there a way to tell if it's a 60 vs 61?

Re: Sold at Colorado Auction for $8000

I know we're getting way off track here, but I'm pretty sure with the headache rack and all the other accessories on that truck, and it being a short bed, I seriously doubt that slide in camper was in it. Now I'm wondering what it was in. She didn't by chance send you a copy of the sale bill from the auction did she?

Only a couple of photos but truck appears to sit up. Looks like a factory 4 wheel drive especially with the bumper wench. Not enough iformation but could be the deal of the day. Great color also.

Re: Sold at Colorado Auction for $8000

I asked. She said it also sold at the Estate auction. She said she thinks the camper went for about $2000-3000.

Re: Sold at Colorado Auction for $8000

She said $12,000. She said he's done some work on it.
It's located in Walden, CO.

I don't want this thread to become a WTB thread.
Let's keep it more like the "Craigslist Finds" thread. I'll see if I can get her to get him to advertise it on CL, and then I can post the link to his truck in our 'CL Finds' thread.
