Cutting plexiglass for truck topper

I cracked my glass on topper shell and thinking plexiglass is my best option. What is the best way to cut without chipping or cracking?

I'd ask how big is the piece and cut.
Might as well google it since you'll get lots of conflicting answers here as well as there, but the internet is faster.

Dont use plexiglass..use lexan or similar..a jig saw cuts it very well..just keep the speed slow...and it wont break

I think very fine cutting teeth work wonders. With the possibility of cutting oil helping keeping the lexan cool.

There are a couple of ways that works. You can use a cut off wheel on an air tool. That works well. You can also use a circular saw with that blade on backwards. I use a cut off wheel for windows in aircraft. But a coworker uses a circular saw. Both work well.

I would go by a glass shop and see what a replacement would cost to cut. I doubt you'll save yourself any money doing plexi or lexan. The glass wont scratch as bad either.
