You stole those Rich!! I was a bit higher on the price front but still cheep when looking at new wheels. Plus you know they look good and will fit...cant lose. I'm going to make some fillers for the center caps, as they are missing.

.....I think it already has. Waiting on my disc brakes right now. I'm hoping to use it as a semi-DD, hauler, and just fun truck.

Thats a strange truck in your avitar, Tim.

I have been keeping an eye out for GMC hoods for a while now and with the exception of one guy who thinks his hood is made of gold, I have found nothing.
It was worth a shot.

Thanks

Looks like a few boxes from POL (PerformanceOnLine).
I like dealing with them.

Can you tell me what brand of drop spindles they use?

Looks like Western. These are the 'conversion' type that use original balljoints and tie rods.

POL was very quick and straightforward; gotta like that!

Yep...I'm trying to get the brakes and suspension updated as quickly as possible so I can drive it. I'm going to try really hard not to clean and paint everything along the way

It's a '72 Demon 340. The distributor is actually in the right place...but there's some other weird stuff.

Re: #3 The Sickness Continues

OK, Tim, I guess I am gonna clean some stuff as this is my progress so far today. I popped my balljoints off and seperated the spindles. Sprayed some Purple Power on everything and I'm letting it sit. Found a broken coil on the passenger side. I've seen this here in others threads although I havent seen it yet.

Oh yeah, I met erock and visited hickuppickup (Rob) yesterday. Had a good time and was blown away by Rob's mechanical fantasy land.....more later.

Re: #3 The Sickness Continues

OK, here's what Rob hooked me up with.......a CPP panhard set-up that extends to the trailing arm, not the pumpkin. Thanx Rob!! Cant wait to get the coils in there.

I did paint my new parts and cleaned stuff up. Installed new upper balljoints and hauled out my 1'' drop coils. Measured the stockers at 13 1/4'' and the CPP's at 12 1/4''. I opted to cut 1 coil off leaving 11 1/4''. Bolted the spindles in and called it a nite.....cant wait to see it on the ground tomorrow.
