Its clean, one little spot of some rust starting to bubble up but nothing else. Story was the previous owner (2nd owner) bought it from the family of an older gentleman that had passed away. The truck had always been stored under a carport. Has the original everything and dosent look to have been altered or hacked at all. Other than someone adding a power steering pump and box its orig.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

I found this on Craigslist in California and made a deal over the phone. It is now having major body replacement done in CA. And I did all this while I live in Cooperstown, NY 3,000 miles away. There are (almost) no excuses for buying a truck anywhere at anytime. BTW I paid $1200. ( that's right 12 hundred, not thousand) for this running driving K-10 4x4 Short Stepside with all numbers matching including a build sheet attached to the gas tank.

Well, “lacking funds” or “lacking spousal support” seem to be legitimate excuses. 😂

Wow, this one is only a few miles from me. It's one of the nicest I've seen in this part of the country. Wish I could buy it...... BTW, my very first 'car' was a '67 'burb!

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

This is pretty sweet: factory 69 C20 CST with 69-only maroon and saddle bucket interior (ext/int combo I've never seen before). Oh, and a 396. $10k
https://omaha.craigslist.org/cto/d/1...384538920.html

EDIT: on 2nd thought - maroon was a 65 only color in 60-66, might have been available on other years in this era. Seems to ring a bell for some reason as a one off year thing...

Jobs are over rated, and kids are very resilient, but you didn't mention the one really holding you back. Very shrewd.

Interesting that with 19 pictures none of under the hood or the wood floor in the box which are usually shot. I wonder if the A/C stuff is intact?

I'm getting old, why would I think it was a Longhorn? I guess that gets me off the hook on this one.

You are correct. I gotta agree with you on both points.

Guess I was referring to the concern that one writer expressed about not being able to travel around the country created limitations. I was just trying to point out that you do not always have to be present in an area to make a purchase. I have found craigslist buyers to be honest and helpful. That is just my experience, but I have probably been lucky or fortunate. I am sure folks have had less than optimum experiences as well. I must admit that nothing beats showing up in person with a handful of cash and talking to a seller in person. It is also the best way to see what you are buying.
