Correct Exterior Mirrors for 1969 K10 w/Custom Appearance Option?

I have a 1969 K10 with the Custom Comfort and Appearance option.

Sometime along the way, a previous owner removed the original exterior mirrors and replaced with them with 3 legged trailer mirrors. The 3 holes for the original mirrors are still present in the doors.

I'm trying to determine what would have been on the truck originally. Based on the original holes, they had a single arm with a triangle shaped base.

Would they have been painted or chrome?

Would the mirror have been round or rectangle?

Any help would be appreciated.

All trim levels had same standard mirror, the type you described. They were all painted. I believe the '69s had rectangle heads.

Depends on the location of the holes. The standard mirror is shown on white truck, came painted. Most are round, but a rectangular head was optional. All other 3 leg mirrors were options and would be on the SPID.

Thank you.

Would the standard painted mirror have been white regardless of what color the truck was painted? Or would it have been painted to match the color of the truck? And would it matter if the cab roof was painted white?

My truck is saddle with a white cab roof.

Standard mirrors are shown in first photo. Bracket was painted door color, mirror head color varied. Most were silver, some were white and some were black.

My mirrors are like the white truck has, but a lot shorter arms. Have to push the mirror way out to open the wing glass and is a pain. We’re they offered like this or have mine been cut down?

Factory Stock,
I have a 1971 C2500 Custom Camper, and it has the larger mirrors shown on the brown C20 photo that you posted.
Have you seen remanufactured versions of these mirrors for sale anywhere?
Thanks, JP

No one reproduces those mirrors, but they are very restorable. I have sets I plan to sandblast back to excellent condition
