Re: What do you think it weighs?
sounds pretty good to me.
You are leaving out a LOT of weight increasing or decreasing info... steel or alluminum wheels cast iron intake, or aftermarket headers, or manifolds A/C or non Good bed wood, rotted and missing wood, or plywood? A lot of variables... but a good guess is a tick over 4000 |

Re: What do you think it weighs?
Steel wheels. don't know the bed condition yet. most of the ac equipment is still there. Not sure about the intake but guessing its cast iron.
My Tundra will haul home 1/2 tons with ease. Just checking weight differences. i would guess this is about 1,000 pounds more than a 1/2 ton? I may use my 67 3/4 ton or 70 1 ton to haul this one home.

Re: What do you think it weighs?
4421 lbs. I would guess maybe only about 500 lbs heavier than a similar 1/2 ton.

Re: What do you think it weighs?
I agree with Eric, probably only 500 pounds more than a half ton.

Re: What do you think it weighs?
my old short/fleet with a small block and aluminum wheels/intake, headers & and aautomatic trans, weighed 3950 if memory serves.
4000 pounds is a good guess for the average 67 - 72. |

Re: What do you think it weighs?
Just had my '68 C30 "short" dually weighed..... (4400) on the button.
The longhorn w/out the heavy 455 is probably 4200-4300, add the 455 and I'd put it at 4375. |

Re: What do you think it weighs?
My 67 C30 "short" dually weighs 5600 with no driver. I have a 292, PTO 4-speed driving a hydraulic pump/cylinder/tank for the flat bed that has 4' sides and doors on it.

Re: What do you think it weighs?
Mine goes 4240,less driver, & about 1/2 tank of fuel.....she pretty stripped tho! 4" chopped top, still missing the door glass & regulators,no heat or AC,no carpet or matting & a couple lite bucket seats,no front inners, & alum heads/intake.....also 1/2 ton suspension. Id bet that you tip the scales tween 46-4800.....crazyL
