Re: goodmark repro bed

Nothing like GM stuff. Honestly Id be patient and look for a pristine one, or maybe put one together in pieces.

Re: goodmark repro bed

The reproduction beds are made by one company and sold by many. They are good quality. You will hear of good results from those who have them. The only fitment issues I've heard are bolt holes needing wallowed-out. Panels align as well as OEM

Re: goodmark repro bed

I didn't buy a complete bed, but just a bedside for the passenger side. I was very pleased with the fit.

I agree and is what I've seen as well. Unless you come across a nice original rust free bed you can't go wrong with the brand new repop bed. I have seen them in person and are very nice. Everything will take a little time to fit correctly but nothing like brand new sheet metal with no rust. I'm going with a repop bed for mine as I would much rather wallow out some holes then deal with fixing more rust.

I have a new floor pan, firewall, rockers, cab corners,f&r lower pillars, new fenders, doors, head board, tailgate, all bed cross sills to convert to a wood bed and new bed sides. They all fit way better then everyone said they would. new sheet metal is great.

Are the reproductions the same gauge material as the NOS?

Re: goodmark repro bed

This I can't say for sure. That is the question to research (or maybe get an answer here). But,I do know that. I do know that parts made by Tri-Plus are in fact of the same or heavier gauge. They don't make the bed sides, though, and not sure about the floors.

Re: goodmark repro bed

I just did final assembly after painting on a repop bed. I had test fitted everything before paint.

I am very pleased with the results. As noted above, it will need 4 or 5 holes widened a little for assembly but that is reason for test fitting. Seems to be same gauge metal.

I would recomend it again.

I'm planning on getting a complete bed kit from sokyclassics sometime in the next few weeks. I'll let you know how the fitment goes with that.

Re: goodmark repro bed

I have sold several with great results. A couple holes do not match up on the metal floor to the bedsides. Not a big issue and a non issue if using a wood floor.

Re: goodmark repro bed

When you say complete bed you mean everything? Fender wheels, front piece, bolts, floor, tailgate, etc....

Re: goodmark repro bed

Mine was complete, everything. The only thing I reused from my old bed was the center tailgate latch because the repop did not function very well.

my woodall bedfloor was accually heavier thicker grade, i'll have to disagree with they are made by the same company, i checked alot of sheetmetal before buying a bed and there was big differance between one or the other
triplus was not close to woodall

Re: goodmark repro bed

I just bought a complete bed from sokyclassics and got it monday and I am very pleased with the quality. There were no dents or damage anywhere but I still have no got the hardware yet but they told me up front they were getting the hardware. I also emailed AMD to no response so I went with sokyclassics. Glad I did

Re: goodmark repro bed

I bought a complete bed for mine last fall, some say there is only one company that make the parts I do not think that is correct! The floor was made by Woodall very nice, and heavy! The tubs were made by dyna corn, the headboard, tailgate, and right bedside were Triplus. the left bedside did not have any manufacture lable but was very different from the Triplus side!
I would give it a 8 out of 10, if the left bedside was a tri plus it would be a 10

Re: goodmark repro bed

my bed kit was about 2400. I have a local vender that deals with key parts and got it all for me no shipping charge. I had called Soky. they told me around 900.00 for shipping!
