Front seats for 75 blazer.

Can someone translate this for me to show what the original seats were in my 75 Blazer. It will take years but eventually aim to get it back to original equipment specs, if not condition (that won't happen).

Re: Front seats for 75 blazer.

I believe blazers that year had low back bucket seats only? Then like 77 or 78 got high backs. I don't believe blazers came with bench seats

My keyboard stopped working before I could type out a response...
Read thru that thread. Explains the Blazer/Jimmy seat deal.
And no, never a bench in Blazer or Jimmy.

Thanks all. Looks like bench in the back and red vinyl covered low backs in the front. Also from the other threads with explanations it was a Cheyenne High Sierra model.

If it is a Chevy then it's Cheyenne. The High Sierra was GMC.
Highest trim options available.

Re: Front seats for 75 blazer.

Those old brochures are fantastic. Love looking at them seeing what my truck was like originally (not so much now though). Question on the seats. Does anyone know the last year of blazer / jimmy / burb where the front seats would fit into the same bolt arrangement as is on the 1975 Blazer? I'd love to know the years and models I can search for at the pick n pull or on craigslist. Same goes for the center consoles with drink holders etc.

Re: Front seats for 75 blazer.

Blazer & Jimmy seat tracks are Blazer & Jimmy only. Different floor pans vs Sub & truck.
As for the seats & tracks, up to '77 for sure. GM changed the rear floor in '78 and created a footwell for rear passenger and the flip & fold rear seat was intro'd.
However the same style of flip up front seat ran all the way to '85 I think. The tracks changed too but not sure when. Maybe after '81...

The buckets themselves were the same as in pickups but the tracks were different. Low backs were gone by '77 or '78 as well and only high back buckets were offered.

The console is pretty much the same from '70 thru to '80.
The early ones had squares for seat belt buckles. Think it was '75 or '76 they went to a round holder for drinks. That stayed thru '80. The early ones had an emblem on the lid and that was gone in the later '70s versions.
In '81 they were redone for the new interior and sheet metal upgrades.

Pretty sure I got that all right...

Yup sure did.
And it seems up to 79 , pass seat and rear was an option

Whew...that taxed my old brain...lol
Think you're right about passenger seat becoming standard in '80, but the rear bench was optional all the way thru '91.
