Finally got them -- Coys C5 wheels

They took 10 weeks to get. Coys said it would 4 to 6. Their customer service is less than steller. My buddy is still waiting for is 18X8 with 4 inch BS for his 53 --- we ordered them on the same day.

The wheels look great and are exactly what I ordered. I should have the truck back together and the wheels on in about 2 months.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Finally got them -- Coys C5 wheels

You are right regarding the customer service. I have emailed them on several times with questions about ordering wheels. I had one reply back asking me about my bolt pattern. I have not heard back from them since.

There was nothing really wrong with them. They were American Eagle and and they only offered a 5.5 inch backspace for the 20X9.5 rear wheels. I had to use a spacer and I really do not like spacers. I also wanted a deeper dish look. I hate polishing so chrome was the only way to go.

The way I have it calculated the coys should fir perfect without a spacer in the rear.

Compare the cost of Coy's C-5's to American Racing Torq-Thrusts II's and you'll see!

I'm curious---who was your supplier for the Coy's wheels. I have an outlet in the southwestern Missouri area, that says he can have them in very short order (less than 10 weeks).

Re: Finally got them -- Coys C5 wheels

I got them from Coys.

Special -- nothing really but they are a fair price for chrome and they have a soft lip. I like both TTIIs and the Coys either would have been fine. The soft lip on the Coys is the reason I chose them.

I did not price the TTIIs only because I chose the Coys.

I agree, that looks sweet, plus the rim lip is flat. On my TT2s the rim is stepped from the spokes to the lip.

Re: Finally got them -- Coys C5 wheels

Coy's must be lovin all the business they're getting from this site alone. I bet they raise prices soon. Just FYI; they no longer carry the 22x9 in a 5" BS, only 5.5". Too bad because the 5" BS would be perfect...
