Re: How many of you all have 67 trucks read this if you do

2 67s at our house 67 GMC has buddy buckets and the interior is grey or kind of silver looking. The other is chevy 30 parts truck with black buddy buckets[no not for sale] and the inside paint is the original color kind of a pale green.

actually the glass is different also, The 68-72 has a hole in the glass where the handle goes thru and the 67 rides on the lower channel where the bottom of the glass is. This is killin me trying to find a chrome driver side vent window

Thanks, I never noticed that. I picked up a nice set of chromes (68-72) from the junkyard to replace the broken drivers side on my 67. I have another 67 at my dads house with chromes, I'll check on the condition of them. Just one more of the little differences that make the 67 so special IMO.

Those little differences make them cool IMO also. So far I've found the ignition switch, keys, lighter, vent windows, rear view mirror, dash knobs, cluster and glove box door paint scheme, kick panel vent pulls, ashtray, armrests, lock knobs, ram-assist power steering, no side markers, brake booster, window handles and door handles to all be unique to the '67. Its amazing the changes that were made in just one year of production. The majority of the stuff that was different was carry-over stuff from '66 trucks, which is odd to me. Most new body styles come with all the updated changes inside and out in their debut, but not with these trucks.

Mine is all stock and I would like to keep it that way. I found a NOS blue sun visor and I am looking to up grade my from my idiot lights to gauges and they only produce the bezels in chrome edges not the painted silver that is original.

Re: How many of you all have 67 trucks read this if you do

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't all 67-68 steering wheels made of painted black plastic? 69-72 wheels are actually colored plastic, but it seems like more of them have the plastic cracked and breaking off. The black 67-68 seems to hold up much better.
And yea, the painted cluster/matching glovebox looks cool.

'67 Short-wide, red outside (appears to have always been red), black interior. PO said it was an original CST, but he had taken the glove box door for another project. Of course, after seeing some of his work, the PO was one of those guys that should have had his tools taken away until he went to "tool school"!!

I'm sure ya'all have had some experience with his type of work!!

YOu guys are mentioning that some of your 67`s only came with 1 visor. Mine came with 2 from the factory but no holes in the pass. door for a mirror and no holes in the inside door handles for arm rests but I have a custom appearance package. is this a common deal? (small back window. chrome vents and mouldings) Also whats the difference in our outside handles compred to the others? I know the inside door handles are different though

Re: How many of you all have 67 trucks read this if you do

Mine is blue inside and out. Going with a 95 tahoe 60/40 split bench. I wanted to get it looking similar to the 67 bench and this is how it ended up. I'm extremely happy with it... oh yeah, it's power.
