Lowering block shims
I bought a set of blocks from POL...and did some other reading on angle needing to be corrected with shims. What are people using? I did see CCC sells a set of blocks with correction to angle problem....any advice?

I had some 2" aluminum drop blocks, figured the angle I needed and cut them length wise. Mine were about 2"- down to 3/4". Get the truck set at ride height and use angle finder to get angle at the trans, then match the pinion angle to it.

Is this what everyone does for lowering rear end? Measure the trans angle with it installed? How do you get the angle finder in there?

Western Chassis makes some specific angle shims...anyone using these in combination with lowering blocks?

I just lay the angle finder along the side of the driveline.
Most auto parts stores have pinion angle shims. You have to measure angle with the suspension loaded IE; sitting on the ground or on a four post lift. Don't be surprised if you don't nail it on the first try.
