Thumbs down WARNING: Beware of “Bestchevyfan”:

WARNING: Beware of “Bestchevyfan”:
I purchased a pair of doors from “Bestchevyfan” here on this forum and got scammed by this guy, so beware if you do business with him.
He advertised a set of C10 truck doors as 99% rust free, (You can verify this by going to his posting), After I received these doors, I contacted him about how dissatisfied I was. One of the doors the bottom was completely rusted through and had 2 rust holes thru the door skin. The other door wasn’t as bad, but still was no where near 99% rust free. Both doors had bird nests inside of them and loaded up with bird crap. He took the pictures so as to not reveal all the rust and damage. Even when I spoke to him on the phone he said these doors were in almost perfect condition. When I asked how he wanted payment, he insisted in using paypal friends and family and now I know why, so I couldn’t make a claim against paypal. Now he’s refusing to refund my money or pay for return shipping. BEWARE: “Bestchevyfan” from Alabama is a scammer.

This is at the top of every for sale section:

A red flag should go off if someone that isn't a friend or family asks for the friend/family method.

Re: WARNING: Beware of “Bestchevyfan”:

It is sad to hear that honest people are still falling for this type of dishonesty. I don't even give money to family this way and who does anyway? I am not sure why this option is even available. Though I doubt you could recover any monies sent for "Used" items due to the fact that pictures were supplied and the agreement was made. I have recovered fees this way but the seller was being polite.
