68 1/2 longhorn...

Ok, made you look... well it is a 1/2 of a truck, just not a 68 AND a 1/2. Just drug this heap in yesterday. I think the engine may be bad as the oil looks a little milky, but still some good parts left. Sitting for around 20 years. Enjoy the pics.

Way weird to still have the engine in it, especially a big block...

Indeed it did. I looked at the box and i didn't think it was worth hauling home. They cut the frame right behind the A arms.

Re: 68 1/2 longhorn...

I'd call it a half assed Longhorn except it doesn't even have half an ass

I guess it's a Nohorn now

I thought it was going to be a 1/2t Longhorn. I have seen one. I figure someone put the 1/2t stuff up under it

Re: 68 1/2 longhorn...

I'll bet it was not cut to make a trailer. More frame is needed for the tongue. I bet it was cut so someone could haul the highly desired hard to find bed home for their truck or to 'create' a Longhorn

It is rusty and the oil in the engine doesn't look good, so it will be parted when i have time.

It was cut up to make a trailer to haul firewood. The guy i got it from still had the other half and offered it to me, but it was beat. They cut the frame right under the firewall.

Re: 68 1/2 longhorn...

How rusty is rusty? I'd love to have a 68 Longhorn but don't care about the engine. I happen to have another frame and bed too. Haha

God I know someone who would want that complete engine, but shipping would kill the deal.
