1970 GMC 3/4 ton long to short bed conversion

I’m planning on using brothers short bed kit on my 1970 GMC c2500 long-bed. From what I’ve read you have to change the cab mounts when converting a 3/4 ton.
I wanted to keep it a 3/4 8 lug truck. Any one else done this? If so, anything extra I might/will run into?

😎

Don't have a 3/4 ton, but wonder why you would have to change cab mounts? I figured all cab and body parts are the same, as far as half and 3/4 ton. Learn something new everyday.

Don't know what I was thinking, but its 6:30am so still thinking what I want for breakfast. I moved my cab mounts when I shortened mine. I did my truck with the cab on. I think I measured 4"back, I didn't use the brothers kit. Just cut and sleeved it with Chanel. If your cabs still on it'll line itself back up, just make sure you get them at the original height.
