Grabbed a few more pics of some awesome rides before it was time to get in line!

This trio was incredibly killer.

Re: Son of Trucks are for Chickens ... Its on!

Patiently waiting in line for our turn to tear it up!

While we waited we had a blast watching all the cool cars go by! They're blurry but we caught at least one burb and a C10!

Re: Son of Trucks are for Chickens ... Its on!

It was finally OUR turn to tear up the track! Whoop!

While it doesn't look like we're going very fast, we were going 60+ most of the time and got up to near 90 a couple times.

You'll see near the end the C10 I was with dropping to the apron (everyone was slowing down so I thought we were done. When they started speeding up I passed him and saw his nose was down. Damn! He apparently has a very slow leak and the fuse for the compressor blew. We limped it to a parts store up the road, new fuse, and we were on our way.

Re: Son of Trucks are for Chickens ... Its on!

We stopped at a Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner (it was "meh") but Monroe didn't want to go in for some reason and stayed out in the truck. Weird.

Anyway, we made it home safe around 11:30 PM and turned in!

Re: Son of Trucks are for Chickens ... Its on!

We had a day to relax (kinda) before Monroe had to leave. My wife is getting a little antsy to get "her" bathroom back, so I had Monroe help me out a bit.

I'm almost done, so he just helped me do a little nail hole filling/sanding and some taping.

Don't feel bad for him. I had to make him do a little work. Good luck to everyone else that has him, but holy crap can he eat some chicken feed!

To finish the day, we installed a new flange extension for the toilet because the new floor was leveled and "real" tile was used, which was a lot thicker than the walmart crap that was there before.

After we were done, Monroe asked me to sign his skateboard with my board name, so I did. He said some of you guys signed his shirt? Weirdos (I kid, I kid )

Re: Son of Trucks are for Chickens ... Its on!

Monroe is safe and sound and is headed out to Colorado. He seemed SUPER excited to be going to Colorado, He was clucking something about how green the grass is and something about an herb garden? I didn't quite understand...

We had a GREAT time. Everyone he met was a good sport about it after the initial... wtf is that?

I will say this... DO NOT let him on your computer. When I checked the browser history there was all sorts of weird crap on there like chickswithbeaks.com, Ilikebigclucks.com, dirtybirds.com, thetwistedfeather.com, chickenortheegg.com, and downonthefarm.com.

DO NOT go to any of those sites!!!

I'm 35 and up until a few years ago, that was literally me. I had never really been anywhere or done much. I grew up in NY, so I've been back and forth to NY a crapload of times, but never really "did" anything other than drive. Been to a few beach towns in SC and FL, but that's about it. Then my wife and I decided a few years ago what the hell are we waiting for? I drove the 65 Mustang on 3 power tours (totaling around 8,000 miles), and I've seen more of the country from just doing that than most of the population probably has. Then I have always had driving the PCH from Cali to WA as a bucket list dream... I literally thought it would be another 20+ years before I would get to do it, and my wife said, let's just go do it! So just last month we flew into LAX, rented a 2016 Mustang convertible, drove down past San Diego, CA to within a couple miles of the Mexico border, then slowly worked our way up the coastline for 9 days until we got to Seattle, WA.

I thought the same thing at first, but I thought about it for a few days (well, I had too, I was swamped at work) and came up with a neat plan for a couple days. It was total luck I was going to goodguys, but at least around here, there's a cruise in somewhere every weekend I could have taken him to.

Re: Son of Trucks are for Chickens ... Its on!

Monroe was just in time to help load the 67 on my trailer and head to the exhaust shop. Monroe wanted to ride to the shop in the 67, but I told him he had to ride in the Silverado with me.

Once we got to the shop, I met Travis the owner of "The Muffler Shop". Travis and I came up with a plan on getting the exhaust fixed on the 67. Also, Monroe got his way and got to take a ride in the 67. It was a short ride off the trailer and on to the lift.

With it getting to be early afternoon, I decided to take a walk for a quick bite to eat for lunch. When I got back to the shop, I realized I had left Monroe in the 67, so I headed into the shop.
