What's the latest? I'm slowly working on the rear step notch where I shortened the wheel base, wire harness and new wheels. How far into the firewall did the engine impede? After you removed the cab braces, was there sufficient clearance with the trans and t case?

Here's the latest on my truck-van. Sold the frame, engine/transmission, and wheels so no turning back now. Pulled the cab and managed to find the center sweet spot, came right off nice and even, putting it on the new frame was a different story, ended up almost tipping right off the picker. The rest of the day was a clean fest in the garage.

Set the clip on, loosely to check track width, and looks perfect after I fix the camber. I'm planning on using the hydro boost from the van but am short about 2". It's not threaded like the stock one, anyone extended the hydro boost staft? I suppose I could weld it longer but I'm getting tired of welding/fabing and would love bolt on.

Thanks, it's coming together. I got it to work by using the old rod and welding the sleeve over the new one, used some H2O and went slow. I then cut the bracket on the firewall, welded, then it bolted right up. The brake lines have been giving me some grief, GM used all kinds of sizes and thread pitch to put this thing together and the local places don't have the right sizes. As of now I thought I'd have to reused the van stuff, ABS that has about 6 lines going into it and try to cut and bend the lines. Standing back and looking for an easier solution it looks like the '69 brake master cylinder will bolt to the hydro boost, then I can ditch the crazy multiple line sizes and stick with one.
Anyone done this? Old reservoir/master cylinder on a new hydro boost? I should probably post this in the brake section.

Some pictures of my hydroboost mounted. Some research shows a 1990 ASTRO van master cylinder will work so it's coming full circle back to a van!

I don't do many brake lines, I have the Eastwood brake flaring tool set and have bought metric lines and cut 1 end off and replaced with the size I need. From the skills you are showing this is just another, Bump...then... solved that problem whats next. What are your plans for the dash? I am going to put 93 Caprice running gear under my Blazer and would like to blend all the dash wiring and A/C in with it.

Looks like the Astro van mc uses the same size lines as the c10 so I can ditch the 8 brake lines and the ABS pump. For the gauges I'm going with Speedhut OBDII, when funds are there. Cut the floor open to give the transfer case room to move, looks like it sticks up higher than it really is, maybe 4".

You probably already know this but .....

As the owner of a couple AWD vehicles; when it gets far enough along that it matters, be sure that all four tires are the exact same rolling diameter and have the same compound.

Having different compounds and diameters can cause differential failure.

Cut the passenger side firewall back about 2" so the cab could sit in the proper location, the drivers side fits just fine. Finally figured out my brake lines, just need to bend then up. Set the front clip on and cut the frame off. Not sure how to rotate the pictures, sorry.

Thanks, I can't tell you how many times I've had to take the cab and clip off for measurements, it's getting old! I'm painting the frame and firewall at this time then on to the body mounts. Can't wait to bolt it down for the last time, or so I tell myself.
