Re: Manual to Auto (Shift Linkage Problem) help!!

Alright yall. I got the old crossmember out so I will try and install the bracket tonight!

Another question: What will I need to do in order for my reverse lights to work? (Moving from manual to automatic steering column)

That I did not personally do but its gonna be in the netral safety switch on the column.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

Yea I have the neutral safety switch on the new column, but I have no idea what I should be plugging into it since my harness is for a manual transmission.

Anyone??

Re: Manual to Auto (Shift Linkage Problem) help!!

Well i got the column in but the indicator seems to be off a bit and the arm on the column isn't very smooth going between gears. Any ideas?

Also the steering wheel is cocked to the left about 45 degrees when I'm driving so it's not straight on. What's the best way to fix these issues?

Thanks!!

This answered my question:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...gear+indicator

Seems like I just have the tab on the bottom of the column (looking from under the hood) too far over!
