Glovebox or custom center console?

I'm debating on wheather to use the glove box for a cd player or building a console to set up on the hump and put my cd player and several guages in. Anybody have any pictures of both they had done?

I have my cd player in the glovebox and should be getting a radio delete plate this week. I like this setup, because my CD player came with a remote, so no leaning across the cab. Then i close the glovebox and voila, no cd player. I do need to figure out how to attach it to somethin in the glovebox, the way it sits i cant attach the radio antenna and its free to move inside the glovebox.

Wasn't there a article in Custom Classic mag with a photo of '67 truck with a center console? I think this was just a promo shoot. With this set up you could maybe have a lid that comes down and locks over it. Then the lid would look just like part of the console. Just my 2 cents worth, latter Tom.

I think in the glove box would be a real PITA. Even with a remote it would be a pain.
Here is a pic of one in a console, I think this was off of e-bay or something, I've had the pic for at least a year now.

I think i'm gonna try to find an AM-FM original or just make something to stick in there that will look like one and just not hook it up. I'm definately putting an amp powering some 6.5's and a sub hooked to an MP3 player.

I have the same thing in my 95 S-10. All you do is wire up a CD changer somewhere with a hot & ground wire and a control unit somewhere along with a display and there is another wire that runs up to the radio in the dash, it has an antenna plug, plug that in the radio and then the actual antenna from the truck into the back of the thing for the cd changer. Then to play a cd you tune the radio to a preset frequency and turn on the cd player and use its contols to select the songs.
