I can't confirm that it's this weekend, but if they are having it, it would be Awesome Auto Salvage on Jefferson in GP.

I have asked a couple of guys here at work. All of them were like,"salvage yard, all that you can carry $25.00" HUH? I would like to know where this is also. I need a couple of things.

Yep, this Sunday.

Pretty good yard, I always find something there. I-30 to Loop 12 to Jefferson. Address in the phone book. Mostly paved except the truck section, better hope it don't rain.

Have fun, I got more junk than I can deal with already.

Unfortunately, they typically don't have much in the 67-72 department. By the time this special comes around, most of the trucks and vans are picked pretty clean. They normally do have a pretty big amount of the 73-87 trucks and vans. The later model stuff normally comes in burned. He has this special twice a year to clean out alot of space. Then next week he'll have a new shipment brought in. So if you can't make it this weekend, I'd try next weekend to see what new stuff he brings in.

I just got back from this "sale" , unless you had something unusual to get your SOL. this place was picked cleaner than BBQ'ed rib bones! I did see about 4 67-72's not much left of them though, 1 had a good set of trailing arms and springs, but thats about it. most of the good body panels, motors, etc were gone. I went looking fro some Yukon interior, didn't find any, the newest Year model of anything I saw was a 96. I did see 1 guy carry out a old M21 tranny, driveshaft and a few brackets though. I doubt I'll waste my time again....

It's been about a year since I've been out there, but yes, they charge $2.00 to get in.
