Mothers Powerball????

Anyone use it? Does it come apart? Wondering how it will work with some California Customs Purple. Maybe this weekend we will just find out.

I talked my fleet manager into paying for one, we work with crane and ladder trucks and these come with a lot, I mean alot of diamond plate and most if not all the trucks were faded. After doing one he and I were very amazed at the results, he had me go buy out what ever Checker/Kragen had in stock. He's having everyone polish out their trucks this next week.
This thing is awesome, I haven't used it on my personal but I will this weekend. I'm looking forward it.. Will try to get before/after pics.

I purchased a Mother's Powerball via ebay for about $29 and it came with Mothers aluminum polish and it works great! Love it.

Re: Mothers Powerball????

I have used the Mothers Powerball with their Power Metal polish on my Billet Specialties wheels. Incredible shine with very little time and effort. I also used a different one on some trim pieces with Mothers Billet cream polish. I then tried one on some chrome parts (mirrors and bumpers) using Mothers chrome polish. I have not tried the Powerball on paint as my paint is fresh.

I will also let you guys know that I found the Mothers Powerball to work much better than the orange "Flitz" type tool that I used in the past. I would also recommend that you use these on fairly low speed drills with plastic chucks. Speaking from experience, faster speed is not better for the fact that it creates more heat and can jump out of your hands. I have my metal chuck DeWalt jump out of my hands when it got caught on the inside of one of the spokes and slammed against the wheel. ($#!+)

Re: Mothers Powerball????

I have american racing torque thrust II's and i use to use mothers and a towel to polish my rims. used to take me just over an hour per rim to do. I now use the power ball in a electric drill and a product called Seapower metal polish. as you can see by the name it is used in the marine industry and you can use it on chrome,or any polished surface. This polish is fantastic!!!!!!!! My rims are now done in about 15-20 minutes and the look like chrome when done!!!!
You can go to www.classictruckworld.tenmagazines.com
go to gallerys then 1968, mine is the BCHN-68 gallery
It shows some good shot of the rims.

Re: Mothers Powerball????

I was wondering if the powerball would be a good thing to use on my dull stainless ralley wheel trim rings. Would the rings return to a more chrome like appearance? What polish should I use?

Re: Mothers Powerball????

Updated: I used mine finally last week and it did work pretty well with my California Customs Purple. A electric drill is needed. Wears my battery down pretty fast. I give it a "B".
