Good price, though I havent dealt with them. Should work well if you are running a small block.

Re: aluminum radiator with fans

well I promised I would let ya'll know how the radiator thing turned out. So
far perfect. I got it well packaged with no damage at all. If you like stacked
up like dime aluminum welds, then this thing will bring some evvious looks.
Here some pics.

Looks good, did he include the relays for the fans? How did you end up paying?

Re: aluminum radiator with fans

This looks really good. I need a new rad and was considering the alum route. Q: Are there any cons to running an alum setup vs the regular rad, or are there only pros?

one thing that i learned the hard way is always always check the feed back score and joined date. i usually won't bid on something if someone hasn't been a member for very long and i always look to see if the neg feedback is lagit or if its some buyer being a complete fuc*tard

Re: aluminum radiator with fans

well let me see if can get all these questions in one post. First of the fella
user name was entropytec. A guy named Tony signed his name to my
questions. He answered all my questions promptly. He said when he would
ship it. Ship was 38 dollars and the total was 583 dollars. I tracked it all
the way here with UPS tracking. It was well packaged. Not a single fin was
bent. I payed with Mastercard. It was a buy now price and I bought it. I
had priced Be cool, Griffin etc and all of them easily doubled this price. Now
its true I have not installed it and it may not cool my auto tranny or it
may leak like a sieve, but I know a little about welding and I'm telling you
this thing is art work to me. When I decided, a long time ago now, to go
with tpi they said that if I could get one with the dual fan aluminum radiator
like Mark Campbell did on the 57 chevy he built. He said at that time as
much as 1800 dollars.
One last thing I have a ron francis wiring harness i ordered with ac request
that I think will handle my relay and and plug up to fan. How ever he
does stock a relay harness for these if u want one. I think it was 40-45 dollars but don't quite remember.
Sorry about length of this. Hope all questions answered

Re: aluminum radiator with fans

I did have one more picture and as far as the cons I can not think of any.
You save weight, better looks, and aluminum sheds heat quicker than brass.
Like I said I really wanted one of these, so I tickled

i do all my welding with steel and i gotta say those are some fabulous welds there. that thing should hold up better than a cruiser in wwii at the battle of midway

I weld a little too and these are the real McCoy. It will be a while before I
get this far. But Lord willin and the creek don't rise, when I get that far I
will have how it works in my build thread.

Sorry I'm a little late to this post, but I've been looking at his offering for the 67-72 trucks as well and I am very tempted. Quick question for you guys. Does a 2 row aluminum radiator cool as good/better than a 4 row steel/brass?

yes. aluminum dissipates heat faster than brass or copper, therefore it does not require as much surface area for the same amount of heat transfer / cooling.
