Just amazing!

I'm putting my 70 GMC back together and came across a part that WASN'T made in China or Tiawan!

My power windows where made in Italy.

How's that for a rare part?

Re: Just amazing!

These power windows use the factory roller channels for the window mechanism. Notice the date 03/29/99. I got these from Brothers about 20 years ago.

Here you go...

Re: Just amazing!

Still available for about $377.00 each. Versus LMC $170.00 for both windows. I would guess the Italian quality is WAY better than the LMChina parts.

Re: Just amazing!

I am also into firearms and recently bought some new magazines for my Ruger MK II. Ruger mags are a bit spendy so to try to save a few dollars I bought two from MecGar. They performed just as well as original and where manufactured in Italy, sold craftsmanship and good value.....

I bought some Mec Gar's for a 1911 right before I received a gift of about twenty Genuine Kimber 1911 mags so I never tried them.

The LMC setup is nothing more than a motor driven cable operateted window hand crank.

Re: Just amazing!

Around the turn of the century is when the China made syndrome was getting started and much more hit & miss. One could actually avoid buying inferior knock-off crap. But that crap won out by people sucking that crap right up rather than make a stand like some of us. This is not a new conversation.
