Hey guys I have a S10 question.

I have a '95 S10 2.2 4cyl. w/ a 5 speed that decided it wanted to fly apart last week. I'm being told it is a 94-95 only transmission and I can't seem to find any around here (Virginia). Does anybody know if I can swap a '96 tranny in (I'm told the slave cylinder is different)? Anybody in the Va/NC area have a 94-5 tranny? Thanks, ....Jerry

Re: Hey guys I have a S10 question.

I doubt it's only 2 year only tranny? any way if it has a separate bellhousing mabey you can swap yours over to it. if it is a one pice you could posibly go with a different slave cylinder to fit. S10 used the borg warner T5 for years ( not shure if that is what you got) any way it was the same tranny used in f bodys ( camaro/firebird) mustang had a version of it. and I think jeep used the tranny also. Find out exactally what model it is first. it may have been only used in the s10 for 2 years, but may have been used some where else ( another car/truck) for a longer run?
