Thanks skyphix!! It has been a long time coming. Couldn't have done it without the inspiration of this site and some great help and skill from JaysonB. Mike

Wau!!! So awesome truck! I like very much when you installed to rear spacers. Now it is a perfect. Do you have pictures of that spacers? Do you use longer bolts or is it own bolts for spacers?

Re: Dad's 1979 GMC Heavy Half Transformation

The 1" spacers bolt on to the axle studs, then the wheel is bolted to the spacer. I believe I got them from a place called Custom Made Only. They are billet aluminum spacers. Thanks Mike

Thaks a lot Mike! I understand what you mean. I would like to 0.5" spacers to our truck rear axle but that is impossible, because rear bolts is too long that 0,5" spacers and too short if I but only spacers+original bolts without extra bolts. But, maybe I can live without rear spacers.

Re: Dad's 1979 GMC Heavy Half Transformation

My youngest, 16 year old daughter, had a photography assignment and wanted me to take her to the park so she could take pictures. Thing is, she didn't want me to take the 17, she wanted to go in the 79; she loves this thing. So, what should have been a straight-line 10 minute drive, took me 40 minutes to go out of my way to get an iced tea before getting there!! I think I've put 500 miles on this thing in two weeks!!!!

Mike

I'm a huge fan of everything about your truck. Great work for sure. Understandably it's too cold now, but when it warms up you should do a video of the truck!

I most definitely will! I had to move the truck into a storage facility in fear that Id bump it or something stupid like that while working on the other truck.

Thanks Mike

Thanks Ilkka!! Had the truck out yesterday for a good drive, even the 16 yr old daughter drove it from home to the storage facility, its temporary home.
