NL2 Fuel tank Question

My 71 C20 pickup that my Dad bought new has after market "saddle tanks". I am doing a LS swap on this truck and have installed a Boyds fuel tank with a Blazer fuel filler neck. I have removed the in cab tank, but want to keep the left saddle tank and use the NL2 type fuel filler neck as it would match the Blazer filler on the bed side. Has anyone done this? Or what would it take to make this happen?

Re: NL2 Fuel tank Question

Oh well, guess that this is something that hasn't been done.

Re: NL2 Fuel tank Question

Are you asking how to plumb the system? If so, there are 2 basic ways: use a low pressure supply pump going to a surge tank and a 3 way valve to witch tanks or use two high pressure in-tank pumps (like the Aeromotive Stealth 340) and a 6 port valve (to allow for fuel return to each tank). Numerous variations for both ways.

Re: NL2 Fuel tank Question

B. W., no I have installed an electric fuel pump to transfer fuel to the rear tank. I want to install a filler neck like the Blazer filler that I installed for the rear tank fill on the side tank.
