This big truck had a bypass cooler, I reckon. This setup has obviously defeated its purpose.

"just watched it close at $6433.33 with 8 bidders 21 bids " is dirt cheap. You would pay more than that for a simple '65 chevy pickup. A '65 Chevy NAPCO pickup would go for at least $15,000. I sure as hell wouldn't sell my '65 NAPCO truck without a much higher reserve.
He said that he had the original dual quad manifold and carbs from the 409. That would mean that it came off a 425 hp 409. The engine is worth a LOT of money to someone who wanted to restore a 409 El Camino.
