This is Cleatus Snow's truck. I believe it is six inches of lift and 35 inch tires.

I know Cleatus doesn't always have time to post here so I will try to help out.

That is a 69 GMC 1/2 ton 4X4. It has a 454, th400 and I think a 203 t-case. Not really sure of the spacifics of the engine or gear ratios. The thing you see under the dash is a dealer option air condioning unit. I think all it needs is a compressor to make it work.

I can't wait for you to bring that thing home so I can go for a ride!

6869704X4-

The truck has quite a history, as a displaced Washingtonian I was looking for a nice rust free CA truck that I can take home, anyway I have been talking to the guy about this truck for over a year and either I did not have the money or he did not want to sell well I finally got it out of him.

Anyway the story is that Don, the guy I bought it from was the neighbor of the origional owner, the origional owner drove it to and from work for about 15 years, then on a trip back from Lake Tahoe, a rear tire blew, in the process of changing the tire a drunk driver swerved and hit the owner and his son, killing them both. Don at this time was 15 and he bought the truck from the widowed wife, (for $100) He then drove it through highschool and it was his daily driver for a while, as most high school kids do he hot rodded the truck, that is where the big block and the lift come in... well then like a lot of people he got married and had a child so a dependable vehicle was needed. When he bought his new truck this one became a parts runner for the Mechanic shop that he owns.

The truck has been driven about 2 times a month for the last 4 years, and I just happened to tell him that I wanted the truck. He had a hard time parting with it, due to the sentimental attachment but eventually he sold it to me, with the stipulation that if I ever sold it he had first shot at buying it back.

So as nice as the truck is there is a responsibility that comes with it, to keep a guys memory alive.

Hey, that is a pretty hot truck you got there. It is a lot of fun to ride around in too; I can't wait to do it again. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, I love the bench seat...
