Ol Blue is finished finally

After ten years of sitting in the corner under a cover, it's finally done. Headed to it's first show Saturday. I'm the second owner. Purchased brand new in my home town. I have all original registrations since it was new. It's far from a ranch truck like it spent it's whole life. Remember when I was a kid telling my dad, I love that pickup. When I grow up I'm going to buy it. Well guess there is one thing, I was correct about.

Re: Ol Blue is finished finally

Thanks guys, it's been a headache this week. Seems like yesterday I took my 70 green swb to it's first show and it gave me attitude just like this one. Thanks to my father and wife for alot of help.

Re: Ol Blue is finished finally

I named my 72 Ol Blue in 94/95 time frame. When I was a junior or senior in high school I remember two of my friends talking about a farm auction 15 miles away that had a 72 short bed on the ad. They ended up going but it sold for more money then either of them had. Fast forward 4 or 5 years later I bought that truck from the local upholstery shop for 3000.00 and have loved him ever since and taught both my daughter and son how to drive in Ol blue. Your truck looks awesome... what's the tire size?

The first Ol' Bkue I recall knowing of was my buddy Doug Smith's '69 Chevelle Station Wagon we would bomb around in, late-70s. I'm sure she wasn't the first

Re: Ol Blue is finished finally

If I've learned anything, these trucks are NEVER done! Congrats man, it looks great! Similar paint scheme to what I'm gonna do when I'm "finished", without the trim, though! Awesome work!

Re: Ol Blue is finished finally

Mine had "Blue" pinstriped on the tailgate when new. As it aged it became "Ol Blue"....
