Mystery red wire connection verification

Need some help please. I removed this red wire when I removed my front cap. It's right next to the firewall fuse connector. Fed it into the firewall inside the cab; connected it to the fusebox at the UNFUSED spade...

I have included three pics. Is this the correct location in the fuse box?

Thanks for any and all replies.

Looks like an aftermarket added connection, just an old one.

Re: Mystery red wire connection verification

I should have asked, 'where does the other end go to?' Maybe it had something to do with the #2 Batt ?

Re: Mystery red wire connection verification

Thanks '68OrangeSunshine; You were correct!

It was in fact a part of the Aux battery system.
I did have the wire connected correctly in the fuse panel. I found an old pic I had, which verified this. Also this schematic from the forum confirms it.

Here are some pics of the connection. The wire exits the fire wall, goes under the hood spring, under the fender, and bolts to that electrical junction next to the relay.

Thanks Again
